Carbon credits and shipping containers have little in common. That's the point: the skill isn't domain knowledge, it's operating judgment.
Fintech · Fractional COO
A founder who needed to get out of the day-to-day
Situation. A growing financial technology company with a strong product and a founder running every function personally.
What I did. Stepped in as fractional COO: built the operating cadence, put owners and deadlines on the plan, and stood up the reporting the board had been asking for.
[Result – e.g. "Founder's time back on sales; first on-time quarterly board package in company history."]
Forestry & carbon · Technology delivery
A data product that had to ship
Situation. A forestry company building a carbon data application through an outside development team, with scope drifting and no one on the inside managing delivery.
What I did. Took over product and delivery leadership: tightened the roadmap, translated business needs into requirements the developers could build, and held the vendor to scope and schedule.
[Result – e.g. "Version 1 released on the revised date; vendor spend brought back inside budget."]
Storage & logistics · Strategy
Finding the next segment
Situation. A container business with a healthy core market and no clear view of where growth would come from next.
What I did. Sized and ranked adjacent customer segments, pressure-tested the most promising two, and built the go-to-market plan for the one that won.
[Result – e.g. "New segment launched; first customers signed within 90 days."]
[Industry] · Application development
A mobile app and the back office to run it
Situation. [Client type] needed a customer-facing mobile app and an internal admin site to manage it, with no technical leadership in-house.
What I did. Defined the product, selected and managed a third-party development team, and owned scope, budget, and release dates through launch of both the app and the admin platform.
[Result – e.g. "Launched on iOS and Android on schedule; admin site replaced three spreadsheets and a shared inbox."]
Community banking · Chief Strategy Officer
From idea to 40+ institutions
Situation. Community banks facing new ECIP compliance and reporting requirements, and a core provider with the data to help but no product.
What I did. Championed the product from concept through launch: defined the offering, built the business case, and led it to market.
Adopted by more than 40 institutions.
